I know that it's early but I need someone to help shovel my car out when the snow arrives! I live on a main road and fear that I will get plowed in. I'm 8 months pregnant so I can't do it myself. I will need someone EARLY in the morning on Monday, Tuesday or Friday snowdays... and at a normal hour the rest of the week. I have to leave for work by 6:45am so I do mean EARLY!!! I have a shovel, or you can bring your own.

Need automechanic with electrical background to perform repair (check (Newport RI)

I�m looking for an automechanic with a strong electrical/mechanical background to diagnose and fix some sort of electrical problem with my vehicle, a Chrysler PT Cruiser. I�d like to try and get it done some weekend in October. The problem could also have something to do with a previous intake manifold gasket repair. I�ve had to call tow trucks several times so I don�t want to drive it somewhere. I need someone who can come to my place and do the repair. I�ll pay for time and travel. I have a large parking lot with plenty of room. I�ve taken my vehicle into four different Chrysler dealerships on six separate occasions over the course of 4 months to diagnose and repair (with no success) some sort of electrical and/or sensor problem that is causing my vehicle to idle erratically and stall. So I need someone who really knows what they are doing. Essentially, someone needs to be able to test an entire engine wire harness for shorts or associated vacuum leaks, or troubleshoot a faulty intake manifold gasket repair.

My car has had check engine codes P0121, P0123 and P0129. Prior to the check engine codes instantly appearing, the car has had an erratic idle that led to RPM surging and then stalling.

Once the codes are cleared, the car runs fine until after a few drive cycles (ie @150-200 miles), whereupon the original problem reoccurs. Most recently, the problem appears after the engine reaches operating temperature�ie around 20-30 minutes or less than 10 miles of driving. It seems that the problem lies in some sort of electrical problem with the TPS, MAP, IAC, EGR, Crank Shaft Sensor, etc. It is noted that that I never had any of these problems until the intake manifold gaskets were replaced.

HISTORY:
Chrysler 1 replaced a bad intake manifold gasket associated with a P0304 check engine code. Mileage: 50,998.

Less than a month later, the idling got very erratic, the RPMs surged, the car stalled and check engine code P0121 (TPS and MAP disagree) appeared. Chrysler 2 replaced the PCM and then replaced the MAP sensor. Mileage: 52,390.

Less than 300 miles later, the car again exhibited the same symptoms and check engine code P0123 (TPS voltage high). Chrysler 3 replaced the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). Mileage: 52,680.

Around 120 miles later, the car again exhibited the same symptoms. Chrysler 3 replaced the TPS wire harness. Mileage: 52,798.

Less than 200 miles later, the car again exhibited the same symptoms. Check engine codes developed, P0121 (TPS and MAP disagree) and P0129 (bad barometric pressure sensor). Mileage: 53,000. I took it in to Chrysler 1 who cleared codes and said there were no further problems exhibited during a test drive.

Less than 100 miles later, the car again exhibited the same symptoms. The check engine code turned on again. Mileage: @53,100. Chrysler 4 had had the vehicle for nearly 3 weeks. They called and said the problem is �definitely� some sort of electrical problem (probably a short somewhere). But they can�t determine the location because there are as many as 40 different wires. They and said I�d have to buy an entire new engine wire harness for nearly $1,800. Here are their notes on the invoice:

�Checked vehicle for codes found code B0129 bar pressure out of range checked voltage supply at map 5 volts checked signal circuit found good replaced map sensor condition did not change-checked wiring between pcm and MAP sensor with DRB unplugged leads and checked voltage 20.06 called star performed TSB 18 018 03 PCM up to date. Checked K4 circuit found good checked and tightened Pin connector C103 Pins tight and clean road tested vehicle condition not present light cleared, road tested next day condition present again check engine light and voltage out of parameters�condition caused by short in wire harness recommend replacing engine harness and injector harness�as per customer�s request tried crank sensor did not correct condition�.
