For all it may concern,
Robert "Bobby" Fish has taken Over all Public Access TV stations in RI.
He wants YOUR! Money! thats right if you look on you cable bill under PEG Access you will see a charge of .50 cents, you pay $6.00 a year to Bobby Fish he then takes that money to Run 8 PEG Access studios in RI, for you to use to make your own TV program. Bob has been making alot of cuts to Public access TV including cutting employees, heath care, raises and pentions. They are planning to Close the current Providence studio to open up a new bigger better one, seems great right? Wrong! They Plan as using the new Providence studio as a Hub and only have one studio per county. They Will Be closing 3 to 4 studios in the coming year! That savings alone will have Bobby Fish rolling in Money that he will funnel over to the RI PBS Foundation to fund PBS programing!
So the Next time PBS go on the air begging for money ask them what they do with the "Extra" PEG access funds they get from us cable customers.
PBS Foundation get $2.2 million a year for PEG Access TV, after there cut backs they will be able to save 1 million a year for the PBS Foundation.
