Job Requirements:
B.S. degree in the life sciences with 1 – 3 years experience in a biological laboratory.

Duties include:
Perform quantitative assays for DNA, total protein, cytokine ELISAs and assist with cell-based biofunctional assays.
Assist senior personnel with assay development and validation.
Maintain inventory of lab supplies and reagents.
Maintain accurate detailed records of experiments performed.
The main duties and responsibilities are:
- Maintain regulatory information databases to include, but not limited to: specifications, nutritional, material safety data sheets, allergen information, GMO information, and ingredient breakdown.
- Handles Customer Requests (internal and external) whether via phone, email, or sample orders; providing the information listed above as well as AIB Reports, Letters of Guarantee, etc.
- Completes customer requested Vendor Surveys and Questionnaires.
- Review vendor information with Quality Control Technologist, in order to determine regulatory compliance from Autocrat's suppliers.
- Read and interpret regulations for FDA, EU, etc.
- Maintain, formulate, co-ordinate implementation of plans for corrective action, and update internal plant policies such as SSOPs, HACCP plans, GMPs, and allergen programs.
- Work with internal labeling group creating new finished product labels and revising existing labels, as needed. In addition, maintains UPC codes and creates as needed.
- Manage Organic (NOP) program (certification submission, compliance affidavits, annual audit, and internal policies).
- Coordinate third party audits. Maintain all the Quality Notebooks with procedures and policies, and updates as needed to insure that all information is correct and ready for third party audits.
We are looking for a highly motivated self starter with a Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Technology or similar Math/Science field. You must have 2 to 4 years of regulatory/compliance experience. Excellent computer skills, organizational skills, communication skills, both verbal and written are essential to your success in this position. HACCP Certified is a plus. Minimal travel to trade shows will be required.
We are searching for a Quality Assurance Specialist to work part-time at our Smithfield, RI location. The QA Specialist will be responsible for tracking, trending, monitoring and analyzing the quality of suppliers, components and finished goods. In addition, the position will provide QA compliance and supplier audits and inspections. Requirements include a BS degree and at least 5 years experience in QA. Some national and international travel is required.
