Responsibilities:<br>
Accountable for the delivery of outstanding Customer Service through a strong commitment to customer needs.  Responsible for resolving customer inquiries by using the tools provided to service each customer quickly, efficiently and thoroughly.   This position requires the prompt response to questions from.  Stores and its employees by troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving problems with proprietary software, hardware or Human Resource related issues.     This position has no direct or indirect reports.  Tier I Representatives must work independently within the context of following predetermined processes and procedures.  They have the ability to escalate unresolved issues to either Tier II, Tier III or an appropriate vendor.<br>
Skills:<br>
	Tier I Representatives must have strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. <br>
	Tier I Representatives must be able to function well in a team environment. <br>
	Competent PC skills <br>
	Excellent writing skills <br>
	Experience providing customer service using the phone. <br>
	Excellent verbal and listening communication skills. <br>
	Ability to work in a flexible schedule environment to support hours of operation (17 hours per day, 7 days per week). <br>
	2 years of experience working in a corporate call center/help desk environment REQUIRED <br>
	The logical next career step would be Tier II.<br>
Requirements:<br>
	This position requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.  Associate degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, or other related technical/HR fields preferred.<br>
	1 to 2 years of technical/Human Resource experience preferred.<br>

Technical Requirements <br>

This position is appointed by and reports directly to the MIS Director. The purpose of this position is to provide overall network support for the Town of Mansfield and to assist in the administration of the networks (Windows 2000 and 2003 and Unix systems). Help maintain all systems, applications, security and network configurations. Troubleshoot network performance issues and create and maintain a disaster recovery plan. Help recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction including but not limited to: <br>

Duties and Responsibilities:<br>

	Maintain and repair on-site (if possible) computers hardware and peripheral equipment.<br>
	Be familiar with standard desktop and server application and backup software<br>
	Help plan and execute upgrades to ensure that the Town resources remain current will all applicable technological advancements.<br>
	Have the ability to prioritize tasks, resolve complex problems and multitask technical issues<br>
	Maintain a library of hardware and software systems and all training materials.<br>
	Provide training to staff in the operation of these resources and provide a help desk function to staff.<br>
	Maintain all operating and application software and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.<br>
	Give timely and accurate submission of verbal and written status reports on computer operating activities.<br>
	Help support backup software and disaster recovery software for the servers and computers of the Town of Mansfield.<br>

Qualifications:<br>

A working knowledge of Computer Operations is required. An Associate Degree in Computer Science or better plus certifications is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience of a variety of Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows Systems, and UNIX) is desirable. The incumbent must be able to work well with others as well as work independently.
