It is difficult at best to have sympathy or empathy with self contractors; the majority of them are rip-off artist, con men to the core. That said, I laughed at this part: your statement there's no work because home owners can't get lines of credit or 2nd mortgages. So you're saying people should go into serious debt so they can pay you to throw on an addition they can live without, is that it? Then you can take out one or even both of the above and buy a boat. And the cycle continues. See?

By the way, there isn't bailout dollars for all types of working class groups, not just self contractors. Must be a lot of guys down the union hall. Do you only hire non-union?
