I actually went to the WW library last night. I had not been there in YEARS! They were having a magic show and I took my kids. It was so fun, there were so many families. I was glad to see all the kids and many of them were signing up for summer programs. I had NO idea all the wonderful programs they offer! They have a bedtime storytime!

If you are a resident of West Warwick, Rhode Island, please read this. And please pass along to other residents of West Warwick, RI.

West Warwick: You may lose your library on Thursday night.

The proposed FY 2010 budget will be presented to voters at the June 25 Financial Town Meeting. This budget keeps the library level-funded at $732,759. If the budget passes, the library will get that amount plus $188,000 in state aid.

If the budget does not pass, the library�s appropriation will be slashed to $366,390, which will automatically disqualify the library from receiving the state funds. The library cannot stay open with that amount of funding. If the budget does not pass, the library will close October 1, 2009.

If you support the library and would like to see it remain open, please attend the Financial Town Meeting Thursday, June 25, and vote in favor of the proposed budget.
Folks... if you don't use your library, think of all the people who do. And if you're not using it, you're missing out on a very valuable resource. In Rhode Island, you can use the Ocean State libary network to have books, DVDs, etc. from any RI library brought over to your local library FOR FREE. In this economy, think of all the DVDs, CDs, and books you can check out for free, including current best sellers, the latest movie releases and more.

As the economy continues to struggle, many libraries are transforming into job centers. Online job application assistance is only the tip of the iceberg. Some libraries are developing specific job searching areas with helpful resources such as online job searching portals to help people sort through the clutter and get back to work faster. I am moving to Providence toward the end of September. I am moving from Portland, Oregon in order to attend night classes at RISD and to simply try living in a different city. The economy in Portland is terrible with unemployment at nearly 13%, so I am curious about the economy in Providence and I am also curious about the best neighborhoods to live in the area. I am 32, male, liberal, artistic, sober and sincere. What are your local thoughts about life in Providence and specifically the neighborhoods and job prospects??? Thanks.

Suzanne L. Turcotte, 48, of Cross Rd, passed suddenly at the RI Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Ronald Turcotte for 26 years.

Born in Central Falls, the beloved daughter of Richard and Yvonne (Gagnon) Hemond, Sr.

She was the proprietor of Sue�s Crafts & Florals Gift Shop in Lincoln for the past six years.

Besides her husband and parents she is survived by a daughter and a son, Amy and Eric Turcotte, both of Cumberland, Three sisters, Lucille Bagaglia and Christine Naughton, both of Cumberland and Karen Everton of Smithfield. A brother, Richard Hemond Jr. of Wrentham, MA, a grandson, Zachary Turcotte and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday at Noon from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited, Calling hours Sunday 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to a scholarship for her beloved grandson, Zachary Austin Turcotte c/o Richard Hemond, 25 Autumn Rd, Wrentham, MA 02093.

by RISD a mile to the west. Closed in 1981, the tunnel was busy since 1912. Still integral, this

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced fradulent credit/debit card charges after making a purchase at East Side Marketplace. It has happened to me three times in the last few months. If so, I would love to discuss any similarities.

Exeter Animal Shelter Pasta Supper (Mason's Lodge rt 102 North Kingstown)

We are having a Pasta Supper to benefit the Exeter Animal Shelter. All money goes directly into helping the animals. We will also be having a Huge raffle! It is this Sunday at 5 - 7 pm at the Mason's Lodge on Rt. 102 ( Ten Rod Rd) in North Kingstown. Off of exit 5A & 5B off of rt. 4. If you need more info, call 294-2754.
