These filters are available but, because there are so few on the market, vendors are gouging by pricing them at outrageous levels ($140 per filter). Get it here below the original purchase price.
And looking at reviews of current filters, apparently there numerous knock offs being sold cheaply by fraudsters under the Berkey name. There were purchased from Berkey directly.

Each durable and efficient Black Berkey element will last for up to 3,000 gallons before needing to be replaced. A pair of 2 Black Berkey elements lasts 6000 gallons before replacement is recommended, providing years of efficient water filtration.
For example, if you use 2 gallons of water daily, a set of Black Berkey filters would last over 8 years. If you use 4 gallons of water per day, Black Berkey filter replacements would not be required for over 4 years! So, there's no need for expensive disposable filters that require replacement every couple of months. Black Berkey elements are re-cleanable during their 6000-gallon lifetime. When the flow rate decreases simply brush the Black Berkey elements with a ScotchBrite pad under running water, reinstall and your system is again ready to purify water.
It is important to note that Black Berkey purification elements may require replacement sooner based on the quality of the influent water that you filter through your system. Note: Black Berkey elements are upper chamber elements. They do not work simultaneously with upper chamber Ceramic Super Sterasyl elements. Only one technology is designed to operate in the upper chamber at a time. These filters will work in the British Berkefeld systems and most other gravity water filter systems on the market. They can also be chosen as an upgraded filter to replace the older white ceramic filters.
BOOST PROTECTION BY ADDING FLUORIDE AND ARSENIC REDUCTION ELEMENTS
If you are concerned about fluoride and arsenic levels in your drinking water, you can add a set of Berkey PF-2 fluoride and arsenic reduction filters to the lower chamber of your Berkey water filtration system in compatible models. The arsenic and fluoride filter comes in a set of two and is designed to work in conjunction with a set of 2 Black Berkey filters and is screwed into the base of the Black Berkey elements in the lower chamber of the Berkey gravity water filter.
