1961 Silkscreen on paper by Lorenzo Homar and Francisco Arrivi. I am pretty sure this is silkscreen on paper, most of his posters are. This was framed in the 70's but the glass was broken when I found it. The framer has glued the poster to a board / cardboard backing (not the large white background). I removed the piece from the frame to get rid of the broken glass, frame is in pretty good shape and included with sale. The poster has some small areas of damage. It also appears it was trimmed a little when framed, likely removing damaged edges. The annual festival began in 1958 which is how I arrived at the 1961 date. Overall piece is in very good condition.
This is the description from the Museum of the University of Puerto Rico:
"Poster of the Third Puerto Rican Theater Festival of the ICP. Design and creation by Lorenzo Homar and Francisco ArrivĂ. (Collection of the Museum of History, Anthropology and Art of the University of Puerto Rico)."
I have quite a few midcentury / Danish modern pieces listed if you want to look at the "more ads by this seller" link in this listing.
Piece is located in Northern RI. I'm about 20 minutes from Providence and a little over an hour from Hartford or Boston.
