Oil on canvas signed A. Ramus. Artist Francis E. Jamieson was born in England in 1895, but is celebrated for his depictions of Scotland. A prolific painter, Francis Jamieson sold enough paintings to become popular, and he was hired to detail furniture with his scenes. He was eventually forced to use pseudonyms to market his work, unbeknownst to his employers. A. Ramus is one of at least a dozen pseudonyms he used.
Painting is in excellent condition despite its age (Jamieson died in 1950 so that is the newest it could be). Painting is dusty but overall excellent condition.
Piece measures just over 12+13/16th X 17+5/8th inches.
