Spectacular pendant lamps with woven chenille shades by modernist weaver / designer Maria Kipp. Pieces are not marked. Interior paper like lining is torn and lights are being sold as is. It is a fragile material to begin with and age has made it more so. The woven shades slide off the paper columns so it is a fairly straightforward do-it-yourself project to replace the lining. The last row of cloth has come off a few strips of wood, pretty easy to reweave. Overall woven shade part is in excellent condition. Lights work as shown. The actual lamp / light pieces are in excellent condition. These are wired right now to plug in and there is quite a bit of chain and cord, they could easily be converted to be hard wired. Aside from the torn paper lining pair is in excellent condition.
I have quite a few mid century items for sale if you want to look at the "more ads by this seller" link on Craigslist.
Pair is available in Northern Rhode Island. I am located about 20 minutes from Providence and a little over an hour from Hartford or Boston.
