This 27" X 41" X 28 1/4" high Antique was called a Hall Table in my grandfather's home in the 1950s, but it's the perfect size for a writing or computer desk. The drawer is 24W X 16D X 4" high, and the bottom is a single solid, thin board the full depth of the drawer, c. 15" inside. PRICE LOWERED FROM 1200.
In 1973 it was appraised by an antique dealer at $450., which in today's dollars would be over $3000. However, at 78, I have to let this treasure go as we move into a smaller retirement apartment. If you would appreciate this, come take a look and make an offer.
The base is maple and the top is another wood, perhaps pine, very old looking with "breadboard ends." The base is pegged together, and the top is pegged to the base, so even with two different woods, it seems to have been built by one craftsman.
