Early 1900's ? "La Pencee" French Marble clock, works fine, loses 2 minutes in 2 weeks time. Full wind is 3 weeks I believe, rings quarter hour, dainty bell.
Clockmaker Says Besancon on face. I inhereted this clock from my father. He bought it in the mid to later 60's for around $365, adjusting for inflation that is $3,400 today.
It was mostly a display piece and used only periodically.
I dont have a fireplace mantle to put it on or a cabinet. It's a beautiful clock. It could be in a museum in newport.
I will include the other 2 clocks pictured also.
