You are viewing a New restored, polished and repurposed Vintage local to New England Milk Can converted to everyday lamps. Not stainless steel but highly polished Galvanized coating over steel. The cans are 7 7/8 W x 27 H to shade top. These particular cans were once painted or stenciled and some had fabric or were perhaps shabbily made into lamps once before. (But not as well constructed as these).
These two had beautiful enough galvanized coating to stand on their own, and resemble natural pewter or nickel. For Interior decor purposes these are now far more "presentable" for any room in the house.
They have been meticulously hand cleaned using several chemical techniques and have been polished many times over to produce what you see; amazingly smooth to the touch and are near perfect in shape displaying NO major dents or disfigurements.
Certainly, the beauty, proportion and relevance of the lamp parts is what distinguishes these Lamps from others perhaps seen in the past.
Parts include mostly Lacquered Brass lamp fittings to compliment the metal can. The Brass vase cap is also meant as a takeoff point separating it from the can itself. And then there is the substantial, heavy duty 1 1/2" wide tubing post. These parts are meant to be seen ! Comes with ample 8' cord and a 9 1/2" shade harp. These large size lamps can take up to a 15 or 16 inch lampshade making it a prominent fixture.
