REDUCED BLOWOUT PRICE: This is a very rare, vintage beauty - an Amp Research (aka "Concept USA") suspension fork.
At the time I bought it circa 1992, it was the lightest 26" mountain bike suspension fork in the world, and well-reviewed. I don't know if anything lighter ever came to market.
I love this fork, but I just don't have a bike for it. It is in excellent mechanical condition.
If you know what this is, you know how coveted it is in the vintage mountain biking community.
These forks are great. It is stiffer than a typical hydraulic suspension fork, and recoils faster. But it is soooo much lighter. It shines on hard-pack trails and commuting, though I have taken it on gnarly singletrack, too.
Fits cantilever or V-brakes.
It fits a 1"-diameter steerer tube, but I've also included an adapter kit with the headset to work on bikes with 1-1/8" forks.
Comes with a headset and that adapter, in excellent condition.
