U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary boating courses provide instruction to boaters at all levels, from the fundamental to the advanced. Experienced and knowledgeable instructors committed to the highest standards of the U.S. Coast Guard teach our classes. Boaters who successfully complete the course and exam are awarded certificates and are eligible to receive state-recognized Safe Boating ID cards.

The Boating Skills and Seamanship Course starts on February 21 and will consist of ten class meetings.

Classes will meet on Tuesday and Thursday 7-9 pm.
Dates: February 21, 23, 28, March 2, 7, 9, 14 16, 21 and 23.

Location: Foundry Complex, 235 Promenade Street, 3rd Floor, DEM Room 300, Providence, RI. Free parking.

Registration: Wednesday, February 15th and Thursday, February 16th from 6 to 8 PM.
Cost is $50 cash or check includes materials, textbook and practice charts.

Lessons will cover; EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR BOAT, THE RULES OF THE NAUTICAL ROAD, WEATHER AND BOATING, LINES AND KNOTS , YOUR BOAT'S RADIO, TRAILERING YOUR BOAT, HANDLING YOUR BOAT, INTRODUCTION TO NAVIGATION & CHARTING, RI STATE QUIZ AND MORE....
