The 50 State Quarters Program began in 1999 with the first five designs of the series. Coins were issued honoring Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, and Connecticut. As the earliest State Quarters in the series, these coins set the tone for the next nine years to come. The coins in the photos came directly from the mint in mint bags and were never in circulation. These coins are business strikes and any imperfections originated during the minting and bagging process. I am not a professional coin grader so I give no opinion on grade. Please note that grading is a subjective art, and you should always consult the pictures and grade the coins yourself. I attempt to capture the best images as possible, but my camera is not of professional quality and sometimes does not allow me to fully represent the quality of a coin.
