ESTATE FIND! This is an extremely good looking ceremonial Antique sword by the Ames sword company in Chicopee, Massachusetts circa 1848 through 1898. It is etched and engraved =very fancy and still looks to be in wonderful condition and the blade is still sharp! This sword did not see any battle. It was made to be a ceremonial sword for the Knights Templar organization. IT is over 120 years old. There are other swords out there, many of them are high-priced Replicas, or they are made by other sword companies. AMES Swords are highly collectible.
