This unit has been restored and recapped and all fuctions work as they should. Including the phono stage for analog fans.
Here is the work that has been done:
- Front face plate and dial glass have been removed and cleaned
- Dial lamps, meter lamp and FM stereo lamp replaced with LED lamps.
- All switches and controls cleaned with Dioxit.
- On the rear panel, screw speaker terminals have been replaced with Banana jacks for main and remote speakers.
Power supply
- All electrolytric capacitor have been replaced.
- Main rectifiers have been replaced and upgraded.
- four mylar capacitors have been replaced.
- underrated resistors have been upgraded to larger wattage value
- soldered in fuse has been replaced with a fuse holder making changing the fuse easier

Power amplifier;
- all electrolytric capacitors have been replaced, and dc balance adjusted.
- Tone control board; all electrolytric capacitors replaced.
- Premp eq board; all electrolytric capacitors replaced,
- FM Multiplex board; all electrolytric capacitors replaced.
- FM front end board; all but two electrolytric capacitors replaced. Other caps tested.
- Wood case; Sanded, restained, three coats of wipe on polyerathane was applied and then wax was applied.
The case was damaged on the top. One slat is damaged which is typical for these units.
The left side of the case had some veneer missing which I attempted. to repair. Although the damaged is camaflaged, the defect is still visible on close inspection. (see pics). Overall, It's a nice looking unit!
I rated this a 7 mostly because of age and wood case condition.
I included a lot of pics so use them as part of the description. Internal pics show cap replacements etc..
