A friend of mine in Virginia dug these civil war lead pieces on private property with permission. Various examples of Union and Confederate and some grape shot and pistol shot. Some were dropped (in the heat of battle they generally were left where they fell) and in unused condition and some had been fired.
I also have 4 revolutionary War musket balls that were dug by me in Rhode Island, metal detecting. Musket balls are $10 each.
Each one is $5. They were found metal detecting at various sites in Virginia always where a battle took place.
