Up for sale is a brand-new in-the-box Radio Shack PRO-197 Digital Trunking Desktop/Mobile Police Scanner that has never been used. You can see from the photos that the scanner and all of the accessories are in the original factory plastic packaging and boxes. This is exactly how I received the scanner when I purchased it. It was never used because of a change in plans regarding my scanner radio equipment needs at the time.

This scanner receives analog transmissions and APCO P25 digital phase 1 transmissions. It covers all of the frequency bands including VHF-High, VHF-Low, UHF, UHF-T, VHF Aircraft, Military Aircraft and 700/800/900 MHz. It also decodes and displays analog PL/CTCSS and digital PL.

In the box are the scanner, antenna, AC power adapter, DC power cable, mobile mounting bracket with mounting hardware and a printed owner's manual. For those unfamiliar, the PRO-197 scanner is the same scanner (but just under a different model number) as the Radio Shack PRO-652, GRE PSR-600 and the Whistler WS1065.

The asking price for this brand-new in-the-box scanner is $290 with local cash pickup in West Warwick, RI. If you want it shipped, you will be responsible to pay the applicable shipping charges to your location.
