Castle Hill Inn - a Relais &Chateaux hotel in RI - includes 40 acres, 33 guest rooms, two restaurants and a banquet facility. Each year, Forbes Four Star property seeks enthusiastic service-oriented candidates to join the award-winning team.
Each Dining Room employee begins as a runner, responsible for setting up the back line for service and delivering food to each guest according to our standards. This is an excellent entry level position, however does require the ability to learn and present food information, work quickly and efficiently, and maintain a level of poise and professionalism.
Bussers are the foundation of the restaurant who provide bread service, water service, clear and re-set tables, and polish glass and silverware. They are also responsible for maintaining the restaurant cleanliness and order and assisting in any way necessary as directed by the servers and captains.
Our hosts & hostesses are the first and last employees each guest see at the restaurant. Candidates should have an outgoing personality, professional demeanor, and ability to multitask effectively. This position requires effective communication both in person and on the phone, while managing the computer software and maintaining a professional appearance to the entry of the restaurant simultaneously. Candidates must be able to work well with minimal supervision, be excellent at problem solving and creating a warm & welcoming environment. Previous restaurant, front desk, or retail experience is required. This position is paid an hourly rate depending on experience. Shift start times range from 8:00am to 4:00pm, and are usually between 5 and 7 hours in length.
