We are seeking a line cook to join our team at a casual fine dining restaurant in Provincetown, MA for the summer season and possibly into mid-fall. This position will be working side-by-side with our chef and another experienced line cook. We are an Italian restaurant and are open for dinners only (this may expand to brunches later in the summer). The position is through the summer season with an option to possibly extend into the fall. Housing assistance will be provided.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support the head chef to prepare all entrees following our restaurant's recipes or recipes for specials created by the chef
Help ensure dishes are prepared properly and are visually appealing.
Learn the entire menu and be able to prepare each dish.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and listen to direction
Properly and safely use all kitchen equipment and utensils.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Maintain a clean cooking/food preparation spaces and assist with the closing and cleaning of the cooking stations at the end of each shift.
Contribute to an environment of cooperation and respect among co-workers to help create a positive, rewarding workplace culture for everyone.
Experience and skills required
2-4 years prior line cook experience.
Experience with Italian cooking helpful, but not necessary.
Positive attitude and collaborative spirit.
Culinary school students or graduates are encouraged to apply.
