This is for a truly serious collector! Beautiful walnut Danish style modern bench seat. There are NONE of these currently for sale anywhere that I've looked. Last was about 7 yrs ago. I researched Calvin (located in Grand Rapids Mich) extensively. They were open 1953-1973. Very little info is available online about company nor from the Grand Rapids Historical Society. Many records were lost or burned in a fire. It is known that Paul McCobb & Kipp Stewart worked there. I couldn't find any other designers who worked there. NEW: I just had an online appraisal from an appraiser who works for Antiques Roadshow. She est. that a reasonable asking price is $800-$1000!! This is due to condition & the rarity of what she called a window seat which is much rarer than a dining room chair. The GRHS suspect this bench seat was designed by Stewart but there is no verification. It is appx: 27" H: 26" W : 18." D. Seat Height: 18 in. This must be cash, zelle, or paypal only & pickup only in Providence RI as shipping is exorbitant. Price is absolutely firm. PLEASE only seriously interested buyers. No trolls, scammers, etc.
