Library armchair / captain's chair with the crest of The Institue of Living / Hartford Retreat. Hospital was originally the Connecticut Retreat for the Insane. You will want to check out the interesting history of the institution. Piece is in excellent used condition. The black finish is worn a little in spots but overall very good condition. Cushion is a pretty recent addition. Chair is marked by S. Bent Bros. on the bottom.
