Plastic roof cover has 4 purposes:
Shelter the hay from elements
Increase reserve hay capacity in upper chamber
This funnels rain water away from perimeter to reduce likelihood of hay getting wet.
Can Handle a decent snow load
Has a plastic lower feed tray with water drain
Feeder legs are 5 inches above the ground
Can be moved by hand
Also with forks on a tractor or skid steer Loader
Fits a full size square bale under the roof or can be filled from loose hay out of a round bale
