This is a Victorian dome top, humpback design steamer trunk from the late 19th or early 20th century. It measures 27 inches across, 15 inches deep, and 17 inches high. It may have been a child's trunk. It has a partial label on the bottom that says "Carolina size" which indicates its smaller size. It has oak wood slats, and the front and top are tin. The sides, back, and bottom are wood. They can be stained, painted, or left as is. The hardware is iron metal. The interior has the original paper and a lithograph print of a Victorian child with a dog. The crack that you see is only in the paper. All wood on the trunk is solid. The inside tray is missing as are the side handles. The front latches work well. The main lock has no key.
