Bay State Books is looking for a hard-working, reliable team member to join our warehouse team as a Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate. If you enjoy physical work, staying active, and working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, this is a great opportunity. Forklift experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
What You'll Do
Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
Load, unload, and move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse
Receive, inspect, and stage incoming shipments
Organize inventory and maintain efficient warehouse flow
Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations
Keep workstations and warehouse areas clean and organized
Work closely with the team to improve productivity and efficiency
Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies
What We're Looking For
Forklift experience preferred (certification is a plus)
Comfortable with physical labor, including lifting 30–50 lbs, bending, standing, and moving throughout the day
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures
Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Able to use basic warehouse technology such as scanners and inventory systems
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
