About the Position: Position: As the Decoration Operator Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Decoration Team Lead in every step of the decoration process. This includes the preparations and maintenance of materials; however, you will not be required to operate the machinery yourself. This role will be a very physical and hands-on role which may require you to also assist other departments in completing their tasks.
Schedule:
Full-Time: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM (with a 90 day introductory period from 11:00 Am - 8:00 PM)

Essential Duties:
• Help in the planning, operating, and creation of many different medallions and awards.
• Assists in the use of decorating machines as well as a computer to prepare and decorate various materials and components for decoration and assemble final products.
• Assists in the set up and preparation of materials for use on the decoration:
- Load and position the printing plates
- Adjust the ink supply and paper feed
- Set up the printing press for each print job
• Reads and interprets art files and production plans to select, position and secure machinery.
• Assists in the preparation and completion of decoration materials and their after steps.
- Both assembly and packaging of awards and medals
• Familiarize yourself with the standard operating procedures to be able to visually ensure everything is up to Standard
• Is aware of inventory products and helps the department keeps a 3 months’ supply at all times
- Communicates purchasing needs to the decoration team lead.
• Works as part of a team and communicates effectively with coworkers to accomplish the tasks of the company.
• Assist in all record keeping of the decoration machine:
- Quantity produced o Materials Used o Issues Encountered
Qualifications:
• A High Scholl Diploma, GED, or equivalent degree
• Proven experience as a production worker or similar role is preferred Ashworth Awards
• Should rely on experience from previous jobs and use instructions provided and personal judgment to plan and accomplish department goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and Guidelines when operating equipment
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Technologically savvy
• Familiar with Microsoft Office programs, Google Suite, as well as Adobe Illustrator
