This is a full-time position for a webbing spooler in our textile manufacturing company.
A Spooling Webbing Operator is responsible for setting up, tending, and maintaining machinery that winds, cuts, and measures textile web into specific spool lengths. They manage production quotas while ensuring products meet strict quality, core size, and yardage specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Machine Operation: Run the webbing material through spooling equipment using counting meters. Adjust settings like speed and tension for optimal winding.
• Quality Control: Inspect webbing continuously for defects (frays, knots, or width variations).
• Accurate Processing: Maintain exact counts of the web processed per job and meet specific requirements for core size and yards per roll/box.
• Workplace Safety: Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
Requirements
• Experience: 1–3 years in textile manufacturing, slitting, or unwind/rewind operations or will train.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and routinely lift up to 20 lbs.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
