Job Summary:
The Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining mechanical or hydraulic presses to fabricate, form, or print materials according to production specifications. This role ensures production goals are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate press machines according to specifications
• Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and positioning
• Monitor production for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
• Record production data and complete necessary documentation
• Work closely with team leads and maintenance staff to resolve issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a press operator or in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or work orders
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Basic math and mechanical skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work full-time plus some overtime
