Extremely rare. Mapleglo, double bound, deep body. Plays beautifully and sounds amazing. Neck is straight; truss rod works well.
All original except: vibrato replaced with trapeze tailpiece; professionally refretted (really well done); fingerboard finish removed (which makes for easier playing in my opinion).
Center block became separated from body top and there was some separation at the neck heel about five years ago due to moisture and cold — all professionally glued and stabilized. Functionally and structurally it’s in great condition. Cosmetically, some wear and tear including some worn away finish, some dings etc. — typical for a guitar of this age that has been played — and what appears to be a round “plug” on the fingerboard near the nut (no idea of its purpose; it does not affect playability) — see photos.
I can meet in the Newport or Providence areas. Or, I'm sometimes in Boston.
