This guitar was a limited edition Charvel release a few years ago and is no longer produced in the limited edition Pink & Black color way. This colorway is now DISCONTINUED.
I sought out the best, most even finished Sand Blasted Ash piece I could find on the planet when they were released, and found it at the Axe Palace in Massachusetts in 2022. The guitar was NOT Made in Mexico like the other San Dimas guitars, it was Made in Korea, as all the higher grade ash Charvel/Jackson/EVH limited series guitars are all made there. (I think it's to due to the process of the sand blasted ash and how that's done).
The neck is Maple with an Ebony fingerboard. It has a 12-16" compound radius. The shape is so smooth, it's slightly thinner and has tweaked dimensions and IMO is more comfortable than the Pro Mod's etc. It features #6100 jumbo frets.
The Floyd Rose was the stock OEM 1000 series which IME is identical in use to an Original just made for OEM purposes for companies like Fender/Charvel/EVH/Jackson and has been upgraded with FU-Tone and Floyd Rose upgraded parts.
The Nut is an R3 with a 12" radius. (This is one of it's key components to such a great setup and feel/playability!)
This guitar is so easy to play, it's too perfect! That neck shape on a 12-16" radius ebony fingerboard is addicting!
The Duncan JB and Gibson 57 classic match perfectly and the split sounds are fantastic too!
I worked with a local graphics company to find to find a way to get a matching headstock made from high grade matte vinyl made to match the body, the same stuff used on buildings, cars and signs. This was hard to get right but we nailed it!
I will include one extra decal if you'd like it for the future, but it will not have a Charvel logo, just the pink & black ash look.
If you should choose to remove the matched headstock ash look decal to be the natural stock maple headstock, the original Charvel logo is under there untouched, and all is good there from factory.
(The silver headstock decal is on order, but is shown here as a temp mockup. It should arrive next week and I will update photos when installed.)
Condition -
The body is in great shape with some areas being a little shinier against the matte finish due to playing where the arm and hands rub otherwise it is in excellent condition.
It was used and rocked in the studio only since purchased new.
The guitar just got a new set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 10-46 and is setup in E flat tuning right now, but I could tune it and set it up for what you'd like within reason.
Alot of time, energy and work was put into this guitar to make it what it has become.
The custom work, labor and upgrades would have costs about the price of the guitar itself!
You will NOT find one like this anywhere, it is truly one of a kind - especially at this price!
If you like unique pieces, and you collect, this is one of those you won't find again for this price hot rod custom guitars.
If you play in a band or make music in a studio setting, this will excel at that.
So there it is folks, thanks for reading and let me know if you want more pics, info etc.
