Strat neck on Tele body. This looks to be a genuine 70’s Fender Strat neck attached to a Tele body. Head stock appears to have been re-painted with a Tele decal added.
The body is likely not a legit Fender but does appear to be fitted with real Fender parts.
This was re-fretted about a decade ago. The neck pick-up is a newer Seymour Duncan Two-Five. The bridge pick-up is the twangy 70’s original, which sounds a bit less ice-picky than the modern ones. The pots, wires and 3-way selector switch are original. The tone capacitor is a newer Mallory.
This is not a collector’s item. It is a great player. Light, resonant, punky, fun to play. Although it lacks the purebred cred of a factory Fender it is a lovable mutt.
