Summary of the Teacher Assistant - Working in our high-quality classrooms where you'll be an important part of the children's early educational experience. In collaboration with the Teacher, you'll help implement a curriculum based on best practice standards to ensure that the classroom meets DCYF standards and Head Start education performance standards, and high-quality standards of Children's Friend.

Qualifications for a Teacher Assistant
• TA1- HS degree or equivalent minimum
• TA2- CDA minimum
• TA3- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education minimum or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as child study, child psychology, early childhood special education, elementary education, or nursing.

Summary of the Teacher - As a Lead Teacher, you'll have a classroom, a Teaching Assistant and a Child Development Supervisor who will support your programming needs. You'll work with the Supervisor to implement a curriculum based on best practice standards while ensuring that your classroom meets DCYF standards and Head Start education performance standards as well as other standards as appropriate. You'll coordinate and communicate on a regular basis with all staff and consultants providing services regarding the individual needs of each child. This will help you make connections for the integration of services for families in the classroom, home, center, and community.

Qualifications for a Teacher -
Bachelor degree or Master degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development OR
Holds a current RI certificate in Early Childhood Education OR
Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR
Bachelor or Master degree in a related field
