Currently, the US is paying, no, subsidizing American farmers $1 trillion dollars a year. That's with a "T", because the US tariffs are so effective. Markets are quite unstable due to the unpredictability of Trump's capricious nature. Of course, at least with the soy markets, China is reducing their demand of soy for animal feed, and other suppliers are stepping in to fill the gap left by the US. Wait until China decides to go after the pharmaceutical manufacturers. Most of our drugs are actually made in China and India.
