The Wire Wheel Corporation of America (WWCA), known for its Houk wire wheels, supplied factory options and aftermarket wheels for a variety of classic vehicles, including Stanley Steamers, Stutz, Buicks, Packards, Hudsons, Dodge, Plymouth, Cadillacs, and Ford. The produced various types of wire wheels, including "Buffalo" disc wheels, alonside their wire-spoke designs, utilizing patents and engineering expertise from figures like Henry A. House. This emblem would have been used on Rudge Whitworth-style aftermarket accessory wire wheels during the late 1910s and early 1920s. They emerged from the Houk Manufacturing Company in Buffalo, New York around 1916, but ultimately declined and ceased operations due to changing car designs, competition, and the Great Depression. They left behind historical manufacturing sites and a legacy often associated with Dayton Wire Wheels and House wire wheels.
