Peerless Motor Car Company, founded in 1900 in Cleveland, Ohio, was a luxury automobile manufacturer. They began as the Peerless Wringer & Mfg. Co. in 1889, making washing machine wringers and bicycles until they pivoted to vehicles around 1900. They were advanced and known for innovations like front-mounted engines, shaft drives, and early enclosed bodies, becoming one of America's most prestigious brands. They introduced the first V-8 engine in the US and pioneered the use of aluminum. Though they remain a beloved marque, production ceased in 1931 due to the Great Depression.
