I built this last year from a used barebones chassis. Right now it is running great, with a pair of Xeon Gold 6242 cpus (2.8Ghz, 16 cores each, for a total of 64 threads). It has 192GB of ddr4-2933 Rdimm ram. It has a daughter nic with qty2 10Gbps and qty2 1Gbps Ethernet ports. It has a Dell 1mw70 TPM 2.0 hardware module and the Perc h740p raid controller. It currently boots Esxi 8.0 from a redundant pair of Kingston sd modules, but you could boot from the raid 5 array as well. The raid 5 array has qty4 1.1TB sas hdds (3.27TB usable) with a pair of hot spares and 2 empty slots. It also has a Tesla m10 32GB GPU that works fine (no license). The only problem is that at least 1 of the dimm sockets for cpu #2 is bad (B2 I think), and that affects the whole bank of 4 dimm sockets. This would make a great addition to a vmware install for a dev or even production environment. I have patched everything to the latest firmware/Bios. You would probably want to add an HBA or another multi-port nic for your needs. Machine is perfect, aside from the bad dimm sockets. No front bezel or rail kit.
