Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Property Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and maintenance of commercial and residential properties throughout Rhode Island. This role involves traveling between multiple sites to perform general building maintenance, property inspections, and light repair work. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and capable of working independently while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general interior and exterior building maintenance and upkeep
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs
- Complete minor repairs, including basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and hardware replacement
- Assist with grounds maintenance, trash removal, and property cleanliness
- Address tenant and property management maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain sidewalks, parking areas, common spaces, and building exteriors
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and repair recommendations
- Transport tools, supplies, and materials between properties as needed
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and service requests
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance, facilities, property management, construction, landscaping, or related experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent reliability, communication, and time-management skills
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle required for travel between sites
- Ability to travel throughout Rhode Island on a daily basis
- Ability to pass all onboarding requirements, including background screening and drug testing
- Ability to provide professional references
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Compensation & Benefits:
- $23.00 per hour
